This year’s summer country meeting will be held in Beverley.
As is usual the event will cover three days of peal attempts, a tour preceding the meeting and a meal on the Saturday evening. Please sign up early for what promises to be a fantastic weekend.
Peals and Event Programme
Peals are on Thursday 11 July, Friday 12 July and in the morning of Saturday 13 July.
The suggested pub for Friday evening is The Tiger Inn, Lairgate, Beverley HU17 8JG.
A varied meals menu is available early evening, but booking is advised. Telephone: 01482 869040.
General Ringing
10:30 – 11:30 Hull, St Mary's, Lowgate. 6 bells (10-2-21 in A)
11:30 – 1:00 Hull Minster. 12 bells (25-2-18 in D)
Lunch: Own arrangements. Light refreshments will be available at St Mary's, Beverley (South Transept) until 3:30 pm.
2:00 – 3:30 Beverley, St Mary. 12 bells (34-3-12 in E flat)
3:30 – 5:00 Beverley, Minster Church of St John. 10 bells (41-1-20 in C)
Meeting
The meeting will be held at St Mary’s Beverley 5:30pm.
Evening arrangements
5:00 – 5:30 Light refreshments available at St Mary's, Beverley (South Transept).
5:30 Business meeting held in the nave of St Mary's Church.
7:00 (approx.) Social evening and quiz at Beverley Masonic Lodge, Trinity Lane, Beverley HU17 0DY.
The quiz starts at 8:00 pm, hosted by Neville Pailing (Ringing Master of All Hallows, Walkington, and member of the ASCY!)
The evening meal will comprise homemade steak pie, with an accompaniment of peas and potato wedges. Dessert will comprise of lemon cheesecake. Please notify any special dietary requirements in advance.

The Kings Head
They don’t get more central than The Kings Head. Located in a corner of the Market Place, this pub / hotel has undergone significant alteration and upgrading in recent years.

Beverley Dominican Friary (YHA)
Set in a restored Dominican friary mentioned in the Canterbury Tales, YHA Beverley Friary is situated next to Beverley Minster. The hostel is self-catering. Alternatively, many of the local pubs in town centre, including The Cross Keys in Lairgate (Wetherspoons) offer all day breakfast. The Friary would definitely appeal to those who prefer “quirky”.
