This year’s summer country meeting will be held in Worcester.

As is usual the event will cover three days of peal attempts, a tour preceding the meeting and a meal on the Saturday evening. Please sign up early for what promises to be a fantastic weekend.

Meeting

The meeting will be held at the Cathedral Chapter House, College Yard, Worcester WR1 2LA at 3.00pm.

Peals and Event Programme

Peals are available on Thursday 12 July, Friday 13 July and in the morning of Saturday 14 July.

The Friday night drinking/eating venue lunch venue on Saturday will be The Crown.

General Ringing

There will be a walking tour of Worcester towers on Saturday as follows:
09:30 – 10:15 St John in Bedwardine, 8, 15-1-16
10:45 – 11.45 All Saints, 12, 20-1-1

LUNCH - suggested: The Crown

13:30 – 14.30 St Martin in the Cornmarket, 10, 6-2-17

Meeting and Service Ringing

15:00 – 16:15 General Meeting - Cathedral Chapter House 
16:30 – 17.30 Service ringing at Worcester Cathedral 12, 48-0-2

Dinner

After the meeting in the Cathedral Chapter House, and service ringing for evensong, there will be an evening function in the nearby Worcestershire County Cricket Club, 13 New Road, Worcester WR2 4QH.

The bar will be open from 6pm and dinner will be at 7.30. The meal, at a cost of £18, will be informal and a substantial buffet style menu.  It is an upstairs room with a bar, and the view is splendid. There will not be any formal entertainment but there may be informal quiz for those who are keen whereby people can wander around to complete it.

PAYMENT
For those who have already signed up for the meal please can you pay in advance (see signup below) if possible. 

Public Transport

Railway stations are Worcester Foregate Street and Worcester Shrub Hill.

Accommodation

There are many hotels and B&Bs in Worcester. As has been mentioned in previous updates this is a busy time and there are many events occurring in the summer so please book your accommodation early.
