275th Anniversary Dinner, Saturday 10th September 2022

The Society of Royal Cumberland Youths is holding its 275th Anniversary Dinner in London in 2022, on Saturday September 10th 2022, at The Clermont Hotel, Charing Cross, London WC2N 5HX.
The dinner will be from 6:30pm, with pre-dinner drinks in the Thames and Watergate Suite, and guests sitting down to dine in The Ballroom at 7:30pm.
The Balcony Bar where you can order drinks for dinner, including real ale, will be open from 7, and sparkling water will be on each table.
This spectacular venue is conveniently located above Charing Cross station just a stone’s throw away from The Society’s headquarters of St Martin in the Fields in the heart of London.
Dinner tickets are now available at £75.00, which includes a welcome drink, three course meal and tea or coffee. Drinks will be available for purchase on the night in the bar, which will be serving until 11pm. Please if possible pay for drinks on the night via contactless card or device.
If you have a special dietary requirement, please contact David C Bath the Honorary Secretary. We are looking forward to seeing as many members there as possible, so please get together parties of your friends and fellow ringers for this very special occasion in a unique venue.
In line with protocol and the churches' wishes, peals will be rung with muffles and in honour of Her Majesty . There will be peal attempts on Friday evening (gathering at the Pride of Spitalfields afterwards) and Saturday morning, followed by socialising on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday the pub will be The Harp, Chandos Place.
Sunday service ringing will be at St Martin in the Fields, 9-10am (with the bells open for the proclamation) and at Christ Church Spitalfields at 10.30-11am (bells will be muffled). Other tower times are listed here, although note there could be changes (eg St Stephen's Rochester Row is now 9.30-10am, St Mary Abbot's Kensington is 10.30-11.15am, St Saviour's Pimlico is 10-10.30am, St Luke's Chelsea is cancelled and St James' Clerkenwell has a visiting band).
