The Ringing World Centenary
As we all know, The Ringing World celebrated its centenary in 2011, with a day of events taking place in London in March. The SRCY hosted the young ringers competition at St Saviour’s, Pimlico, an excellent opportunity to generate some publicity for the Society with the up and coming ringers of the exercise!
Members turned out in force, making cakes, working in the kitchen, and manning the SRCY stand in the hall to talk to visitors about the Society. Thanks to everyone who helped, especially Judith Mack and Jo Dorling for all their efforts.
We were also delighted to see one of our younger members, Ed Mack, collect the winner’s trophy with the Hertfordshire team.
