Not The Dinner Day 2020

On Saturday 4th February, I signed up to my first event organised by the society since I joined. After catching at overnight coach from Liverpool (I got an overnight coach back the next day!), I rang in two bands that scored peals of Stedman Triples and Bristol Maximus. Although both were enjoyable peals to me, the later was an invaluable experience that I feel has significantly progressed my ringing ability, and has since enabled me to be a stronger ringer in local 12 bell practices to others learning the method. Despite that achievement, the highlight of the day was certainly the curry afterwards, which I think was worth going to regardless if you wanted to ring or not. Although this was not an event I initially was planning to partake in, I’m very glad I did and It will certainly encourage me make the effort to join more society ringing.
